I'm officially part of the hustle. I spent the past two days on location selling jewelry.
Sushie picked me up so I could help load up her car. After watching Tila for an hour, I could not sleep on her tempurpedic pillow for the life of me. On top of that I kept getting chills or shivers or jitters running up my arms. I couldn't tell if it was excitement or nerves but it was bugging me until 2:30 or 3 in the morning. 4am and the alarm went off. We were a wreck at Safeway. (not a fan of mornings) Sushie wanted cash back which didn't happen because none of the 5 of us (3 cashiers) could add that early in the morning, the final amount was more than allowed, and a manager happened to walk by and notice, so after overrides and 3 torn checks, I paid in cash. Funny that the cashiers were all tattoos and slick hair. They gave us what's-your-deal looks but warmed up towards the end. (It's our charm :P)
5:11 and we hit the road, jack. made pretty good time to Kaiser Fairfield and the tingles persisted so I couldn't nap. 7am we set up shop and wait wait wait. and finally get customer number one and wait some more. hahah I guess 7am is too early for consumerism especially if you're trying to be on time (opens at 8am). The rest of the day was smooth operating. Lots of positive feedback! :] We sprawled out on the lawn and under the tables (my office) taking naps. haha oh so professional. It was fun to see the look on faces when I pop out. The nice thing about it was people were more amused by the irregularity of it than anything else. They had jokes. The whole day we lived off of 5 bagels and 4 packs of cream cheese, cheetos, and a carton of OJ (who apparently confessed btw)
About 11 or 12 hours later we packed up, donated a percentage to the pharmacy, and ate it up in a buffet. I ate so much to start I didn't even get to the fruit or salad, but of course had ice cream. Sushie said, "I'm not leaving. I'm getting my ten bucks worth!" (A 15 hour day will make you appreciate money). Quick stop at the mall and I actually slept before midnight.
We decided not to stay at that venue for Friday so we went blindly to San Francisco at 6am, and hustled our way into St. Luke's (and out of a sticky situation). Best executive decision ever! We're in with security and networked a few more locales from the lady in charge and customers. The staff and patients were personable and dynamic, all positive. Besides the ticket we got in the morning >:P for improperly reading a sign, it was a fucking fantastic day. started later and ended earlier, with more profit than Fairfield. Then we walked up and down Mission Street deciding where to grub and went into a Chinese/sushi restaurant. Shiso, where our sushi chefs were easy on the eyes and service and food were top notch. Big Lots then Sushie's then home.
dude I was made for this. I'm so glad it's finally coming together. Oh! plus it was our first time/ trial run, sans advertising. I have so much work to do when it comes to marketing and booking. Right now I'm tired. still can't wait for the next time!
