workplay

After saying I don't go out... I went out. Sushie and I went to get some more inventory and Ky was kind of touchy towards the Kaba Modern at Motif rumor. So we decided to go surprise him at Vivid! Turns out Kaba really was at Motif! oohh well. We had fun anyhow. It was really empty but Amy's Randy was there and so was Jeannie's boyfriend and Sushie's high school friends. yeah. Anyway can't go wrong with two dollar drinks!

Friday we went to an h&m party. Good lord underage hipsters galore. gahh I didn't drink there. twoAM in n out then home.

I worked the BFD (Big Fucking Deal) show. Work meaning standing around most of the time, eating nachos and watching Santogold and Cypress Hill! I would have liked to see others but it's all good at least we got in freebees. Joan likes reggae too and so does her friend Fiona and so does my friend Kimberly. I thinks we need to go to a reggae showww fo sure

Maybe by the looks of it I go to clubs a lot. I don't. It's only in support of DJ Ky! club, jump up and down to "damaged", get down with my bad self to vanilla ice and MC Hammer, end early with tacos!

Last Thursday: 2 dollar drinks before 11pm! That means I can get my adios for only 2 bucks! and malibu pineapple cranberriesss. Girly, but the combination helps me get happy without getting sick to my stomach puking. Import model Francine Dee was there. She's not the sexiest, but she's pretty nice. My coworker/former twin Jeannie and my cousin Steven were there, and one of his cousins I met for the first time who apparently works at h&m with Joan. I don't think he couldn't hear my introduction because he looked at me like who-are-you-and-what-are-you-saying-weird-girl ???

Saturday: No Michelle, no camera, no pictures! New friend Fiona is neat and tacos are good and we ran into my cousin's middle school buddy I had a crush on when I was 10. We left before I could hear Teddy Rockspin though. Too bad because Sushie has his mix and I like it.

oh yeah! H&M staffers were at Motif with the expansion team from NY. We stopped to say hello and this girl from the bronx in charge of expansion was outside crying. Voodoo security is full of assholes! One of them was just complimenting my ring but then I see her crying due to his coworkers! They had accused her of being drunk because she was sitting down outside. Come on, 4 inch heels after a 14 hour day... give her a break! Then they had started making fun of and taunting her. That's not doing your job, that's just being a jerk. Damn them for giving us a bad name. >:P

She was a sweetheart. I was about to go back and yell at them for being dicks. hahah what can I say. I like New York.

I didn't see her there but that's my coworker Jeannie to the left. We don't look alike at all (esp. not in this picture)! haha but we used to get a lot of customers doing double takes on the daily and asking "how did you change so fast?" and "are you twins?". Insane.

no flipping way

I can not believe Top Chef booted Antonia before Lisa! I don't like Antonia either but I hateHATE HATE! Lisa. She is so mother fucking annoying. (as if dykes don't already have a bad rep) haha

and the NERVE! She calls Richard and Stephanie out for not congratulating her. People who fish for compliments are pathetic. Then they actually congratulated her! Bananas! I'm sure they DO believe the wrong 'chef' went home, along with the other 91% of America that agreed Lisa sucks. Pack your knives and go, ho!

italian dreamland

Queen size Italian leather bed! I need you!

I've had my eyes on this for months. I just can't shake it. The sales guy said he'd sell it to me for $2500. My aunt got a similar wooden frame complete with nightstand for maybe half that. aghh but I love it so much. I don't care if it practically takes up my whole entire room! I just want my electric blue walls and my black and white decor. minimalistic modern. Then I'll switch it up with splashes of 60s chic. bright colors and kaleidoscope patterns! ooh la la ah ah

hmph

I'm kind of disappointed. My business partner friend booked St. Luke's SF again. for July 17 and 18, when I'll be in Japan. Call me fucking bananas but I almost want to stay in the states just to work! wow. workaholic supreme.

It's just that it's my business too. It's just the beginning and I want to participate in it one hundred percent. I know she's perfectly capable of handling things on her own and anyone she brings will know what they're doing, but they aren't me! I like the venue. I like the people. I like the experience. I just want to be there. I want to be a part of it.

pout.

kiddie kleptomania

I love my little monster niece to death. Her parents say she's just like me! and used to say they worry she'll rebel like me too. ha ha She's the most charming three-year-old you'll ever meet in your life. Once a guy was helping to fix their fence. He finished and Phoenix asked him to play. He said he had to go work and make money for his fam. She scurries around the house, comes out with her chubby hands full of coins just so he'll stay.

She's a little trouble maker too but she's such a sweet talker, which I'm not a sucker for but come on. She's my heart. So she has this habit of taking things and hiding them! Her hiding places are so secretive it's like your stuff ended up in Oz. can't ever find it. They just moved into a new house and my cousin still wasn't able to find his watch in the process. Last night, I'm pretty sure she took my camera! gahh! my little klepto niece, what AM I going to do with you?

mayhem

I'm officially part of the hustle. I spent the past two days on location selling jewelry.

Sushie picked me up so I could help load up her car. After watching Tila for an hour, I could not sleep on her tempurpedic pillow for the life of me. On top of that I kept getting chills or shivers or jitters running up my arms. I couldn't tell if it was excitement or nerves but it was bugging me until 2:30 or 3 in the morning. 4am and the alarm went off. We were a wreck at Safeway. (not a fan of mornings) Sushie wanted cash back which didn't happen because none of the 5 of us (3 cashiers) could add that early in the morning, the final amount was more than allowed, and a manager happened to walk by and notice, so after overrides and 3 torn checks, I paid in cash. Funny that the cashiers were all tattoos and slick hair. They gave us what's-your-deal looks but warmed up towards the end. (It's our charm :P)

5:11 and we hit the road, jack. made pretty good time to Kaiser Fairfield and the tingles persisted so I couldn't nap. 7am we set up shop and wait wait wait. and finally get customer number one and wait some more. hahah I guess 7am is too early for consumerism especially if you're trying to be on time (opens at 8am). The rest of the day was smooth operating. Lots of positive feedback! :] We sprawled out on the lawn and under the tables (my office) taking naps. haha oh so professional. It was fun to see the look on faces when I pop out. The nice thing about it was people were more amused by the irregularity of it than anything else. They had jokes. The whole day we lived off of 5 bagels and 4 packs of cream cheese, cheetos, and a carton of OJ (who apparently confessed btw)

About 11 or 12 hours later we packed up, donated a percentage to the pharmacy, and ate it up in a buffet. I ate so much to start I didn't even get to the fruit or salad, but of course had ice cream. Sushie said, "I'm not leaving. I'm getting my ten bucks worth!" (A 15 hour day will make you appreciate money). Quick stop at the mall and I actually slept before midnight.

We decided not to stay at that venue for Friday so we went blindly to San Francisco at 6am, and hustled our way into St. Luke's (and out of a sticky situation). Best executive decision ever! We're in with security and networked a few more locales from the lady in charge and customers. The staff and patients were personable and dynamic, all positive. Besides the ticket we got in the morning >:P for improperly reading a sign, it was a fucking fantastic day. started later and ended earlier, with more profit than Fairfield. Then we walked up and down Mission Street deciding where to grub and went into a Chinese/sushi restaurant. Shiso, where our sushi chefs were easy on the eyes and service and food were top notch. Big Lots then Sushie's then home.

dude I was made for this. I'm so glad it's finally coming together. Oh! plus it was our first time/ trial run, sans advertising. I have so much work to do when it comes to marketing and booking. Right now I'm tired. still can't wait for the next time!

the goods

Here's what's up:

Pictures I took of products from Pocket Change (Fashion Jewelry)! I only have the earrings with me right now. The plans are to take some on models too. :] website, banners, venues, more merchandise, packaging, oh so many directions to get ahead of ourselves in. Lucky for us, it's more like play than work.

Oh yeah we booked our first venue for Kaiser Fairfield for May 29 and 30th so we need to book our hotel with Free dinner and wine! mMmm

If you're out there, feel free to share your thoughts!

yumzy

Chinese food leftovers:

The little place was paacked. Memorial day madness.

All of our inventory came last week! Tons and tons of fashion jewelry! enough to lay in and make jewelry angels. We need more bracelets and rings, but so far we have an amazing variety of necklaces and earrings up the ying yang. Sushie and I went to a couple places for fixtures and got a nifty storage bag for the earrings. We were debating whether it was worth spending money pre-profit but I convinced her and we think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. Everything is at her house but I like it so much I took it home with me!

I booked our first venue in Fairfield. It's less than a week away! exciting! I was taking some sample pictures. Indoor lighting wasn't working too well so I might retake them all with my borrowed fancy pants nikon. or maybe I'll just use the magic of digital editing!

school's out

Tough test. Nonetheless I jumped around the house yelling "I'm done! I'm done!"

Then I thought to myself: self, it's Thursday. Where's my shit?
I ran to the door and sure enough my package was on the other side!

Yay! I love them alllll :]

I went to vivid because ky was DJing. 2 dollar drinks! The crowd was actually good for a Thursday except people kept touching my ass.. I thought it was my friend but she said she only did it once. ?? She ended up yelling at some guy for grabbing hers and got him kicked out. hahah Also took a picture with import model Francine Dee who is a pretty cool girl. Then we went to get our yummy yummy tacos outside of tres. A drunk homeless or maybe not homeless, just dirty man starting talking to my sister while we were sitting on a bench. At first we're all watching in what the hell kind of amusement, except I know my sister was probably annoyed so I decided to intervene by telling him he needs to back up because he's spitting all over the place. He complimented her and kept leaning over her to which we were forced to leave our comfy bench. Meanwhile there's at least 6 cops posting it at their car shooting the fucking breeze. I inadvertently said, "Thank you. I am SO glad my tax dollars are going to work." It wasn't a big deal but I just don't believe in the justice system or chivalry whatsoever. plus most cops suck balls. On that note, adios!
